This part of Harlem breaths history like no other - Sugar Hill. This is after all where Miles Davis came to meet Sonny Rollins and hang out with him, and his Sugar Hill Harlem crowd. Even before that there was Duke Ellington, his buddy Billy Strayhorn and Paul Robson, the list is long and there are many more. These were one family homes and the people who lived here were considered to be middle class. Back then middle class people did not live in studio apartments.
