The inn is a reminder of days when the world moved a bit slower and the people were friendlier. It is surrounded by quaint shops, fine restaurants and even an old fashioned movie theatre across the street. You can explore our downtown bookstore, toy store, Chocolatier, New Hampshire Crafters and many fine gift and apparel shops. Why not take in a movie at the fully restored Ioka Theater? Stroll around the river walk near the Academy boat house or have a picnic in the park. We also have the American Independence Museum and museum shop, plus historical self-guided tours to broaden your knowledge and interest of this area and its importance in our nation's founding history.

Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted and shown through the house which is yours to enjoy. The sitting room and dining room are appointed with antiques, period furnishings, fireplace, artwork and oriental carpets. The sitting room, with its fireplace, wingback chairs, antique furnishings and oriental carpet is a perfect place to get a volume from the book lined walls, enjoy a hot cup of tea and relax.
