Restored and preserved, the home especially appeals to guests who desire to experience the nostalgic ambiance of the historical south in a stately mansion. The Evans-Cantrell House’s architectural style features Colonial Revival influenced porches and Craftsman-influenced eaves and windows. The beautiful carved stone fireplace in the parlor, several original lighting fixtures and many original window panes enhance the home’s appeal. The home is filled with antiques and period reproduction furnishings. Guests may enjoy common areas such as a parlor, well-stocked library, large veranda and peaceful garden and fountains. Four guest rooms plus a suite with a sitting room come with robes, sitting areas with desks, nightly turn down service and private baths. A southern full breakfast is included with an overnight stay.
