Fisherman's Cove is the only condo on Siesta Key where the Gulf of Mexico lays only a hundred feet or so from your lanai, and the bay inlet with boat docks and piers is about the same distance from your front door. This gives you the best of both worlds - magnificent sunsets and beautiful sunrises. At the south end of Siesta Key you get away from the maddening crowds common to the north. Here, traffic moves smoothly, but with three good restaurants within a short walk and a quiet park that has a playground for kids and terrific picnic areas nearby, you may never use your car once you arrive. Kayak rental and tours are also within easy walking distance as are boat rentals, fishing guides and other activities. If you bring your own boat or rent one during your stay, you are welcome to use any of the boat docks at Fisherman’s Cove free of charge. Beyond the short walk to these activities, you'll find 40 nearby golf courses, abundant tennis courts, great shopping (including St. Armand's Circle), the Ringling Brothers Museum and some of the best restaurants in the country. While we enjoy the sporting activities and night life, our favorite ritual is decidedly more laid back. For us, it's all about the view, the sound of the waves and miles of open and uncrowded beaches to both the north and south. Walking to the south you'll first pass through one of the few undeveloped areas you'll find on any of the barrier islands - it's just you, a cup of coffee, the birds and some fresh seashells that washed up during the night. As you walk further south you'll come across the very exclusive North Casey's Key community. Here mansions boarder the water and you get to walk the beach of the rich and, maybe, famous. Back at the condo you'll love the third floor direct view of the gulf and the sound of the waves as you drift off to sleep in a master bedroom that also overlooks the gulf. For your convenience, there is an elevator and even carts you can use to move things between your vehicle and your room. The condo floor plan is spacious with large bedrooms, two full bathrooms as well as a very large walk in closest for the master bedroom. Your guests will get to enjoy a wonderful sunrise over the bay from their bedroom in the morning. There is free high speed broadband Internet access (wireless) as well as free cable and a condo phone for local calls.
