MAGNIFICIENT RIVERFRONT RABELO APARTMENT IN THE HISTORICAL CENTER OF PORTO The Rabelo boat is a traditional Portuguese boat, which for centuries held the job of transporting people and goods along the river Douro. It is native of the Douro region; it exists nowhere else in the world. Its history is closely linked to the production and trade of Port Wine. Although no longer in use, we can still admire these graceful vessels belonging to Port Wine Companies on the banks of the River Douro, in the cities of Porto and Gaia. The apartment building is located in a safe renovated historical building overlooking the Douro River at the heart of the historic center of Porto between the monumental Customs Congress Center and the Ribeira area that is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The apartment takes as its theme the Rabelo boat, it is a newly refurbished one bedroom apartment on the 2º floor, perfect for 2 guests, providing an extremely cozy, elegantly furnished and relaxed atmosphere. It is guaranteed to be an unforgettable travelling experience providing a unique and magnificent panoramic view overlooking the Rabelo boats navigating the river Douro and Vila Nova de Gaia, where the wine warehouses of notable Port Wine companies are located. Due to its excellent location the Rabelo apartment at the riverfront is perfect for exploring the historical center, it is surrounded by cafes and shops that make this area one of the main tourist areas of the city. Here everything is accessible within a short walk to the main tourist attractions of the city located within a 15 minute walk, the Church of San Francisco, São Bento Station, Avenue of the Allies, Porto Cathedral, etc.., and within walking distance to Gaia/ Port caves. Animation during the day and night gives the Ribeira and the surrounding areas a unique touch of history, tradition, excitement and beauty. You just need the time and curiosity to see what the city has to show .... either for a few days, a weekend or a week. When you arrive in Porto we will meet you personally at the apartment. From the airport (12km) you can come by taxi (25 Euros) or by Metro to "Sao Bento" station (30 minutes) and then go down to the riverfront (15 minutes) in the direction of the monumental Custom house and Congress Center (Alfandega) until you reach the apartment. OPTIONAL For a perfect stay and for your well-being, we offer programs tailored to your personal needs. We will fetch you at the airport and attend to you in a personalized way and accompany you during your stay, it will be similar to meeting a friend who lives in another city and wants to show you all there is too see, as well as speak your language (we speak English, can arrange Spanish and French translator) and will be your personal interpreter. We organize tours as: sightseeing to other towns, beaches, execute home cooking meals or flavor recommended restaurants with typical Portuguese cuisine, daily fresh fish, vegetables and fruit can be purchased at the market, countryside trips and picnics with a variety of rich flavored products and Portuguese confectioneries and many other services. There is no stipulated prices because they are tailor-made programs according to your personal interests (we offer tourist site attraction programs which are flexible depending on your time duration in Porto (a few hours, one day, two days or more, we can give an estimate in euros after contact and preparing the itinerary).......and your preference.
