Grassroutes Socially responsible Grassroutes vision is “Discover, conserve, promote and celebrate the local cultures, traditions, environments, knowledge systems, lifestyles and economies of India by creating sustainable opportunities for her local communities.” We’ve used the medium of community managed tourism to create sustainable opportunities in rural communities which results in conservation. We work with the local village communities in setting up their villages as tourism destinations which are ‘owned’, ‘managed’ and ‘run’ by them. Through intensive programs the village communities are empowered to host tourists and showcase their unique lifestyles and stories and meet quality hospitality standards. This ensures that the tourist get a ‘hands on’ experience of the village lifestyles, cultures and environments and at the village communities get maximum benefits.
