Les Castellans is our home in Provence, set amongst the olive groves and vineyards of the Var, close to the market town of Lorgues. The self catering guest wing is completely independent of the main house, and has its own entrance and private garden. There is easy access from a country road that runs past the property, and with no other houses nearby, complete tranquility is assured. The 10m by 4m pool is shared with the main house. Outside the wing there are two terraces, one sunny and the other shady; perfect for outdoor living. There are plenty of loungers and garden furniture and a barbecue. Inside on the ground floor there is a large open plan living room with a fully equipped kitchen in one corner and a big french window leading to a terrace and the garden. The twin bedroom leads off this room as does the tiled family bathroom. Upstairs, on a mezzanine level, is the master bedroom with windows overlooking the garden. The ceilings throughout are high and this gives an impression of airy spaciousness throughout the wing. All around is the beautiful Var countryside. The lower slopes of the forested hills are planted with olives and vines and descend to the fertile valleys with streams and rivers running through them. There are many old stone built villages, each one with its own particular character. Our own village, St Antonin, has its own shop, bakery and bar restaurant, all within walking distance of Les Castellans.To the south is St Tropez and the sea, and to the north lie the lakes and mountains of the pre-Alpes. All these are within an hour's drive of Les Castellans. There is much to do and see at any season of the year, or you can just relax in the garden and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Les Castellans.
