Selce is a typical small town in the Kvarner Gulf, with the old, Mediterranean type center with narrow alleys and picturesque stone walls still intact. Summers are usually hot and dry, with a very occasional passing thunderstorm to shake things up. Beaches span the majority of the coastal area, with something to choose for everyone: family-friendly gravel and cobblestone beaches in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation, an exciting sandy beach in the nearby city of Crikvenica (5 min by car), secluded coves and rocky cliffs to the south of the town for the adventurous... A number of restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and a supermarket are in the immediate walking distance from the accommodation. Various summer sports and recreation can be enjoyed at the beaches or in the vicinity (hiking, scuba diving, inflatable water park, pedal boat, watersports, etc.). If you are in the mood for partying, there are night clubs just a mile or two away in the nearby Crikvenica.

If you're in need of a brief escape from the tourist hubbub, you can treat yourself to a boat excursion across the channel to the island of Krk and discover coves, cliffs, and bathing spots which will feel like your own private paradise. Day-trips to a couple of national parks and mountain areas are a possibility if you own a car.
