Welcome to our very unique, original and historic Regency Style Niagara on the Lake Cottage Rental built in Circa 1871, in Ontario, Canada near Niagara Falls. When you enter the cottage you’ll be overwhelmed by the beautiful natural pine wood floors, original windows and doors of 1871; this is truly are very unique charming, cute and quaint cottage. This historical cottage has all the charm and character of a B&B (Bed and Breakfast) that is found in Niagara-on-the-Lake, yet you still have all the privacy you crave when you’re on vacation. The cottage is furnished with hand made eclectic period furniture and most of the furniture has been built by a Niagara Master Carpenter/Artist, Frank Rekrut, and the two fireplace mantles are from two Shaw Festival plays. Each of the pieces of the furniture has been hand picked by the property owner Maria Rekrut, Award Winning Author of the book “Double Your Income Using Social Media.” As a guest, you have full use of the property both inside and out, this is your private getaway. There are two bedrooms/ two private bathrooms included for modern conveniences. The pull out futon in the sitting room comfortably sleeps another two guests. Six guests can enjoy our cottage comfortably. Also, a full kitchen is provided for all your family meals. The cottage also has central air conditioning, central heating, two fireplaces, restful feather beds with fabulous Egyptian cotton linens, Turkish towels, bathrobes, slipper and lavender bath amenities. Free high-speed wireless Internet, Cogeco TV are available for guests at Niagara on the Lake Cottage Rental. Our private driveway allows up to three cars to park. While staying at the cottage enjoy our natural overgrown native, organic butterfly heritage legacy garden. This is the type of garden you would have found in 1871. All our plants are perennials which means that different flowers bloom at different times so you have a variety of flowers. For this reason, the garden looks different from Spring to Fall. We trim our plants every fall and the growth you see is from this years summer growth. If you drive along the Niagara Parkway you will be witnessing a natural native heritage legacy forest, very similar to ours. Our mature period garden is full of mature flowers, plants and trees, a lot of indigenous plants. All the plants are planted by hand and some trees are 70 years old. We ask our guests to enjoy our Butterfly, Song bird and Wild Animal natural garden sanctuary. Our garden is a natural, perennial, over- grown mix of trees and flowers. We’re part of the Greening Niagara Incentive, which is the reforestation and naturalization of our area, and we have a one of a kind garden that makes you feel like you’re up in Northern Ontario. Nearby Activities Our accommodation is both private and has the perfect location, just a few steps to downtown centre. It has a warm, private, friendly and charming atmosphere perfect for your getaway. We have public access three blocks away from the town centre to go shopping, eat at restaurants, and spend Friday nights at various pubs. Our cottage is near the theater district which is a short distance from the Royal George, Courthouse theaters, and Festival Theater. If have an interest in wineries, we can arrange for a Winery Tour company to pick you up. Plus, bring you back safely after a day of sampling wine. Perfect for your romantic or family getaway. Starting in front of the cottage are groups of cyclist leaving to go bicycling on our wine trails. *The rate of the cottage is $150-350, depending on the date of stay.
