The inn takes its name from former owner Edmund "Wings" Hill, the first officer to be given the rank of general after the United States Air Force became its own branch of the military. General Hill, a historical World War II figure, made this home his own and lived here with his family until his death in the 1970's.
Currently owned and operated by Innkeepers Christopher and Tracey Anderson and lovingly renovated in 2001 to better serve you, the inn is open year-round for fine dining and lodging. Despite the modern conveniences and special unexpected touches, the inn still retains its warmth and charm, its sense of history and character.
