Located in an exceptional setting, this peaceful retreat surrounded by unspoiled wilderness is an ideal place to spend unforgettable holidays. In one wall of the ruined house, we discovered a stone with the engraving "P. A. B.".We found these initials again in several places: on the wooden lintels, the entrance door, the ridgepole, and the sundial: they stood for Pierre Antoine Boch, and were accompanied by the date 1840, when this large house was probably rebuilt.
Pierre Antoines son Nicolas, whose nickname in the local Haute Vallee dialect was Colinn, occupied the house in the early 20th century. In 1952, the explosives used to construct the Tignes dam caused cracking in the walls of the house, which was subsequently abandoned... When we purchased the ruin in 1998, the neighbours and locals referred to the house as "Chez Colinn". We decided to keep the name.
