Geri, Maurice and the staff offer a special welcome to their small corner of The Gambia which has become known as a peaceful oasis for the independent traveller.
The hotel is in a quiet residential area, has beautiful gardens and a cool veranda in front of each room. The swimming pool is one of the smallest and cleanest in The Gambia and the beach is only 10 minutes walk away.
Food and drink, but two of Maurice's passions... is of a high standard, although there is a good choice of other restaurants and bars nearby.
We are well known for our vegetarian dishes, homemade cakes, in-house bread and our own ice creams and yoghurts - Maurice's Beetroot and Chocolate cake with homemade ice cream is not to be missed!
Our breakfast treats include everything from cooked breakfasts to wonderful homemade yoghurt and honey still on the comb straight from our own hives. You will also find delicious sesame based foods produced by local women farmers as well as a wide selection of fresh local fruit - mangoes, bananas, water melon and papaya.
