Built with all knotty pine in the 1940's as a hunting camp and located out on a point with a private, sandy, shallow beach making it great for all, including toddlers. Also kids can play and bicycle on private roads.Tranquil Point sleeps 8 comfortably with 2 bedrooms down, and 1 large bedroom upstairs. It offers a modern 3/4 bath, fire place, large living room with panoramic views of the pond and a screened porch facing the water and sunrise. Full size stove, fridge, microwave, and all kitchenware are furnished in the quaint cottage style kitchen. Stocked with trout, it is scenic and peaceful on Middle Pond. A 10 hp limit on motors and clear water makes the pond perfect for kayaks, canoes and swimming. Row boat and canoe available. Well mannered dogs accepted.
Tranquil Point sets on quiet Middle Pond; part of the Five Kezars Ponds in North Waterford, Maine. The ponds are perfect for canoes and kayaking, and are stocked with trout every year. The camp has it's own private sandy beach with shallow entry to the pond. North Waterford is about 20 minutes from the town of Harrison which is on the North end of Long Lake of the Sebago Lake Region. Sebago Lake Region has lots to do from jets ski rentals to a scenic ride on the Songo River Queen in near by Naples. There are restaurants, novelty shops, antique shops and a live theater, movie theaters and a Drive In theater. About 30 miles west brings you to Conway NH by way of Fryeburg, ME and the White Mt region offering sight seeing, hiking, scenic drives and many tourist attractions like Santa's Village and Outlet stores. If you just want to relax Tranquil Point is the place. If you want to get out and do things it's just the right place, too, because there is much to do just down the road.
Rent for $900 per week or call for other options.
Half the rental fee is required to reserve a time slot. It is refundable up to 90 days prior to rental date for a $50 handling fee. Full payment including 7% tax and the security deposit is due 90 days in advance of rental date. A $200 security deposit is required. An additional deposit of $100 is required for dogs. Deposit will be refunded after final inspection, trash removal and cleaning is completed. A cleaning/trash removal fee of $50 will be retained from the security deposit. Check in time is 2 pm and check out time is 11:00 am.

The third bedroom is on the second floor and can accommodate more then five people. (It is not handicap accessible.) There is a couch and TV with DVD player up there as well. It is one large room with good ventilation and scenic views of the water. This is a great camp for families. There is lots of room for every one. It is larger then it appears in the photos. The Second floor allows for folks to gather and play games or watch a DVD while others can enjoy the living room down stairs. Or everyone can meet at the fireplace for Somores!
General Directions 6 Spur Ridge, North Waterford Maine. Take Rt 35 via Naples/Harrison OR take Rte 118 West through Norway. Either way you will need turn onto Five Kesars Road which is a 1/4 mile from where these two routes junction. Via Rte 118 go past Paposse Pond Campground about 3 miles, turn left onto Rte 35 head up the hill a short distance, turn Right onto Five Kezars Rd. (across from Melby's Market.) Via Rte 35 from Harrison it will be on your left after coming down a long grade a few miles past the Town Office and Fire Dept. Once onto Five Kezars Rd you have 3 miles to go. Drive 2 miles, turn right onto Kezar Ridge Rd. Notice 3 pine trees covered with signs. The blue Tranquil Point sign is on the first tree just below a Red Heart. Go just over a 1/2 mile then take a left onto Bridge St. Once over the small bridge between the ponds take a left onto Spur Ridge just up a little knol. Camp is the last one #6.
About Middle Pond Middle Pond is a 72 acre pond with the deepest point at 50 Feet. The water quality is known to be above average and the algae bloom is low. Middle Pond is the largest part of the Five Kezars water system created by glaciers and is known as one of Maine's Five Wonders. Kezar Falls Gorge is accessible at the Southwest end of the pond just past the island known for nesting Loons. The two connecting ponds Back Pond and Mud Pond extend the recreational area for both fishing and kayaking.
