Downstairs has 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom with jetted tub and stand up shower, living room and kitchen. Very open feeling with lots of windows and screened sliding doors. Satellite TV, DVD players, VHS player, stereo and broadband internet connection is provided. Has county water (potable). Separate laundry room. Covered parking.
Local attractions include a nearby golf course, Big Island's only local winery (Volcano Winery at the 30-mile marker in Volcano), Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Punalu’u Black Sands Beach (watch Green Sea Turtles), South Point (the southern most point in the US), Green Sands Beach, as well as restaurants, bakery, internet café, galleries, old theater (free movies on Friday), hardware store, post office, gas station, churches, farmer's market (Wednesday 8am-4pm and Saturday 8am-Noon at Ace Hardware lot in Naalehu Town) and health clinic can be found in nearby Naalehu and Ocean View. Hilo or Kailua Kona is little over an hour drive away.
