Peace and tranquility surround this contemporary Cape-style home sitting on three glorious acres. A clean, modern decor is accented by a few well-placed antiques and cherry furnishings. Relax in our glassed-in common room, watch a movie, or just sit and enjoy the fireplace.
Our three bedrooms feature queen-sized beds, plush robes, and fireplaces. Sleep on a waterbed in the Master Suite, with a jetted tub, and private deck overlooking the stream and woods.
After a delicious breakfast served at 9 a.m., enjoy the outdoors where a canoe awaits in the pond. Watch for the Inn's namesake, the lone Mourning Dove, one of the many varieties of birds that populate our grounds. (The Lonesome Dove BandB has been certified with National Wildlife Backyard Habitats.)
Nearby attractions include Mystic Seaport, the Mohegan Sun Casino and the Foxwoods Casino, the Naval Submarine Base and Nautilus Museum, golfing, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, restaurants, and shopping. Be sure and visit the area's many antiquing opportunities. At the Lonesome Dove, we also offer afternoon teas, small parties, and special occasions.
