This charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath mountain chalet is just off Martinez and Dutton Canyons in prestigious Twin Creek Village at 7,500 ft. above sea level. The property backs to the National Forest with access to some great treks to meet your hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and outdoor exploring needs right out the front door.
Take in the mountain views, beautiful sunrises and wildlife from the huge windows and wrap around deck. There are aspen tongue and grove vaulted ceilings in the great room and French doors leading to private decks from each bedroom. The house sleeps 8 comfortably with two queen beds, one full size bed, and one queen sofa sleeper.
A full utility room, equipped with washer and dryer, is located just beyond the kitchen. Cook your heart out in the fully equipped kitchen that opens up to a large dining room and great room.
We do have an abundance of wildlife such as elk, deer, bald eagles, red fox, and turkey that visit the property from time to time, so keep the video/digital cameras handy.
The home is within 5 minutes of shopping, dining, movie rentals, live music, and grocery store.
Wolf Creek Ski Area is less than 30 minutes and Durango Mountain Resort(Purgatory) is just over an hour drive. Chimney Rock Archeological Area is less than 20 minutes away. After a big day of skiing or hiking, hit the Hot Springs in downtown which is less than 10 minutes away.
The home boasts two large satellite TVs with DVD players. The 500 square foot game room has a foosball table and numerous table/board games for a night in and fun for the kids. The gameroom and garage both have in-floor heating.
For those who like to stay "connected" on vacation, we provide FREE HIGH-SPEED INTERNET SERVICE with up to 4Mb downloads and complete WiFi coverage in all rooms and on the decks.
