Set in the midst of the Wye Valley, with its own maze and stream, Llangoed Hall really is a breath of clean, fresh air. One with a delicious whiff of eccentricity.
Whilst each room is individually decorated with antique furniture and furnishings from Elanbach, the walls are hung with art by the likes of Whistler, Sickert and Augustus John.
Everywhere you look, from the honesty bar in the lounge to the working steam engines in the pool room, bears testament to the tastes and passions of owner and genial host Sir Bernard Ashley
Every one of our 23 rooms benefits from Sir Bernard and Regine Ashley's uniquely personal touch. Each one individually decorated using co-ordinating fabrics from Elanbach, the family’s textile design company.
Guest designers such as Tom Parr, have also added their own individual style to the rooms. Similarly, seventeenth century antique mirrors, Roberts radios and cast iron baths are just some of the features that make each room both welcoming and luxurious.
Llangoed Hall is full of artefacts that reflect the Ashley family’s interests, from Sir Bernard’s models of boats and aircraft to Regine Ashley’s rare wine labels.
It makes a stimulating setting for conferences and board meetings, accommodating as many as 85 or as few as four. With several function rooms to choose from parties may easily be divided into separate working groups. We are happy to cater for all requests, from high-tech presentation equipment, and entertainment facilities to arranging guest speakers.
