The history of the Klammer Family in Gastein begins in 1960.Hans Klammer, born in Carinthia and the owner of a sawmill, wanted to establish a holiday home for his wife Adelheid and the family.Taken with the beauty of the Gasteinertal, in the true pioneering spirit he laid the foundation stone for a spa and sports hotel and called it KARNTEN (1962) - in attachment to the roots of his family.
