How does Free-Rentals.com make money?

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Free-Rentals.com has 2 revenue streams, they are as follows:

1) We display advertisements on our website, and when an ad is clicked, we get paid. This is the reason we require non-donating members to return to the website in order to view their rental inquiries…. The more traffic our website has, the more ad revenue revenue we generate. Donating members will have their leads private and emailed directly to them.

2) We offer a program that will send 500 targeted leads to your listing over the span of a time duration that you specify in advance. Either 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.

Of course, you will receive more traffic than this, this amount is the additional traffic we send you above and beyond our regular organic traffic.

Here is how it works. You donate $169 USD to Free-Rentals.com in your membership account section, and then indicate if you want your additional traffic to span over 1,2,3,6, or 12 months.

We retain $46 USD of the $169 you pay us, (actually closer to $38 USD since we cover the cost of money transfers) and then spend the other $135 on Google Adwords ads to bring targeted traffic directly to your listing on Free-Rentals.com.

You can expect 500 or more leads to view your listing for this amount of money, above and beyond the natural organic traffic our site has. However, unlike the organic traffic, these 500 leads we send you are highly targeted and specifically attracted to your rental unit. We use Google’s Adwords technology to insure you are getting the most bang for your buck.

What If I am Not Happy with my Vacation Rental?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

The information provided on the advertisement should give you a good idea of the quality of the vacation rental before you arrive. If the rental fails to live up to your expectations, then the problem is either due to the owner not having filled out enough or accurate information and/or you not having studied and read the ad in full detail. Often, the problem may lie somewhere in between these two situations.

Whatever the reason, it’s important that you contact the owner directly. You will need to work out any and all issues you have direct with the owner or the management company that placed you. They key is, do NOT wait until after your stay. You must settle the issues right away.

Keep in mind, it’s in the owners best interest to make sure you are happy with your rental, because they are at your mercy not to trash the place. So do contact them immediately and get the issues resolved right away.

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Before you make a booking, it is important that you read the vacation rental owners terms and conditions and cancellation policy. You should have a full understanding before you enter into a booking arrangement, exactly what the cancelation policy is. Then you simply contact the owner and tell them of the change you need to make. In short, you work directly with the vacation home owner and/or management company to make changes to your existing booking reservation.

You can book a vacation rental either by contacting the owner directly or by contacting the management company that acts on behalf of the vacation rental owner. Once you locate the vacation rental of your choice, simply fill out the form on the advertisment page, and it will automatically get directed to either the owner or the management company. They will then respond to you answering any questions you may have and indicating the dates of availability.

Who Are Vacation Rental Owners

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Vacation rental owners are typically people who have their own residential home, but also purchased a seperate home for their own holiday. However, they may only use it one week out of the year. Therefore, they advertise it as available for rent to vacationers for short term holiday stays during the rest of the year by posting an advertisement on Free-Rentals.com. Sometimes, the vacation rental owner may rent directly to vacationers, or often, they will turn over the rental activities to a management company, who then rents the unit out on behalf of the vacation rental owner.
