When you arrive at this three bedroom cottage, it is hard to believe that you are just around the corner from Ballarats historic, and busy, Lydiard Street, with its notable Victorian buildings from the 1800s.
Although dating back to the goldrush with its open fire and clawfoot bath, Ravenswood Cottage boasts a modern kitchen, gas heating and carport, which blends well with its old-world charm.
Ballarat really is a lucky city, for it has survived its hectic goldrush years, with many of its original buildings intact.
Wilton House is one such survivor. The space and comfort of this solid brick home have to be experienced to be appreciated. There are three large bedrooms, and two bathrooms (one with clawfoot bath and separate shower), and a sunroom where you may breakfast overlooking the garden.
A cheerful open fire augments the central heating, providing a perfect setting for a quiet moment curled up with a good book.
